APSARAS

Fate Connects the Lives of Widowed Englishman and Orphaned Thai Twins in Sweeping Romantic Drama

Tragedy combining with a chance encounter has surprisingly serendipitous results in Apsaras.

At 3:00 A.M. on Boxing Day, 2004, a woman dies in London. At the exact same moment, six thousand miles away in Thailand, a man drowns in the tsunami that sweeps across Southeast Asia.

Jack Benson, a retired banker of 45, has spent the two years following his wife’s unexpected death touring the world to escape his memories and seek a new direction in life. Unexpectedly, he becomes embroiled in the seedy world of the Thai sex industry and encounters the twin daughters of the man who died in the same instant as his wife.

Now with the help of the twins and a lovely American immunologist, Jack finds himself on a new path that transforms life both practically and spiritually. But Jack soon discovers that the course he has chosen is not an easy one and matters of the heart rarely stay simple for long in the breathtaking love story of Apsaras.

New Cosmology & Negative Dimensions

NEGATIVE & IMAGINARY DIMENSIONS

BACKGROUND HYPOTHESIS USED IN APSARAS II

A discussion on the origins of the perceived but unseen.

In my novel, APSARAS II, I introduce a new theory to explain the workings of such diverse subjects as dark matter, ghosts and UFOs.
Although science has hitherto had no answers on this subject, the existence of supernatural objects or events have been well documented ever since man could communicate.
One thing about the ancient view stands out to me. The duality of the universe. The Gnostics thought of it as lightness and darkness, Shinto saw it as the real world and the spirit world and the Daoists pictured it as Yin and Yang.
In a new radical way of looking at the world, it is proposed that the universe does indeed operate in multiple dimensions, but not in the way currently envisaged. It may well be that science has been looking for very exotic solutions when we had the answer from the beginning.
The new theory proposes the possibility of negative or ‘imaginary’ dimensions that are likely to exist in a parallel universe to the one we are familiar with.
Although the new theory has implications for the cosmos as a whole, I am excited about the possibility of what happens at the interface where dimensions are mixed at the veil or plane of reality.

THE REAL WORLD
Tangible objects in the real world can be described as having a volume calculated in three dimensions according to the formula:-
L↑3= 1 where L is a spatial dimension.
The solution of this equation gives L as +1 only. In other words all the dimensions are positive.
But we live in Space Time which can be 4 spatial dimensions.
Time t = L x (1/ v)
If the expression 1/v is constant then t~ L.
This applies if v is the speed of light in a vacuum, c
Therefore for objects described by 4 dimensions we have
L↑4= 1
The solutions in this case are +1, -1, √ -1, - √-1

GHOSTS & POLTERGEISTS
Since the dawn of time, mankind has had a sense of another side to life, popularly manifest as ghosts or poltergeists. There have been people such as mediums and animals, such as dogs, which have a heightened sensitivity, making them more aware of the presence of the supernormal.
Now scientists think that some humans and animals can ‘see’ or sense these mixed dimension ‘entities’.
As an example, consider an entity composed of two positive dimensions and one negative. (see fig.1). Most people would be unable to sense this object because it has no depth but there are some who would sense something two dimensional ‘floating’ on an ever changing background, as if a ghost. The object would have a negative volume since the object obeys the normal rules of mathematics and therefore does not have a weight that humans can experience.
If, however, the entity has two negative dimensions and one positive then although not observable it will have a positive volume and its effects can be felt. (see Fig 2)
Scientists believe this is the nature of poltergeists where objects are moved and other effects noticed such as people aware of someone or something invisible sitting on a bed.
The experience that these ghosts are from the past, might be explained by the fact that with negative dimensions comes the possibility of negative time.

ENTROPY
One of the problems facing scientists with regards to travelling backwards in time has been entropy. A quantity that measures disorder in a system and is best described with reference to a glass of wine on a table. It is easy to visualise this glass falling from the table to the floor, the wine spilled and the glass breaking into thousands of shards. Now try and imagine the reverse happening; the glass reassembling and the wine pouring itself back into the restored glass perched on the table as before. Not likely and for this reason entropy and the direction of time have long been associated. However with negative dimensions there is a possibility that entropy, in the other universe, can be reversed, giving rise to past ‘images’.

UFOs
Again, a phenomenon where some people observe a vision in the sky which cannot be explained. It appears to, often, many people but cannot be confirmed. Scientists have been sceptical about the existence of UFOs but have been worried because of the high numbers of sightings. Sometimes they can show up on radar. The number of people including highly respected air force personel cannot, surely, all be wrong. Now it is thought these could be objects that have two positive dimensions, visible to some humans but one negative or ‘imaginary’ dimension that cannot be seen but may be detectable.

DARK MATTER & ENERGY
Since scientists discovered that the universe was expanding more quickly at the edges, they have been perplexed that the effects of gravity as we know it have been overturned.
With the new theory, this is explained by huge amounts of invisible matter or energy that exist in three negative dimensions giving rise to negative volumes and as yet little understood negative matter. This negative matter, like anti-matter, would have the effect of pushing objects apart.
These entities with three negative dimensions exist solely in the parallel universe and can never be seen by human eyes, although their effects may be observed indirectly.
It is understood that the veil or plane of reality cannot be seen as a sort of curtain or other physical partition. It is all pervading in the same sense that God is meant to be everywhere; we just don’t see it or sense it because most humans haven’t yet evolved sufficiently. That evolution is making humankind more sensitive is undeniable but scientists are now looking for the final pieces in the jigsaw. Evidence of these hidden dimensions is being sought at the new hadron collider at CERN, where it is hoped the high energy collisions, simulating the ‘big bang’ will reveal the existence of a parallel universe. I will be hoping that if they are found the new dimensions will confirm my prediction.
We need, now, to consider another possibility; namely that instead of negative dimensions as we’ve discussed above, the dimensions contain the factor ‘i’ or √-1. This very special number is real in that it is essential for the workings of some electronics, for example, but in our conventional mathematics, cannot exist because all negative numbers when multiplied by itself become positive. In the case of i², however it is -1.
Now in fig1, above consider that we have two positive dimensions and one dimension bi.
To an ‘observer’ who has the capability, there are two dimensions that may be sensed and an imaginary dimension.
The volume of the object must also be imaginary because it, too, contains the term ‘i’. The nature of this object is subject to debate but much depends on the properties of those forces that give an object substance.
Let us predict that when the ‘Higgs’ boson is discovered its properties will need to be defined in terms containing ‘i’.
Now for the instance where we have one positive dimension and two imaginary dimensions an ‘observer’ might sense this object and it will have a real but negative volume. This may give rise to real experiences such as apparitions and other perceived but unseen objects, depending on the nature of the matter that occupies this volume. It may be recognised by radar, giving rise to UFO sightings.
In the last instance we have three dimensions that contain the factor ‘i’. This cannot be sensed by humans at the moment. It has an imaginary volume and its properties are not known. Could this be the nature of ‘dark matter’? Could it pervade the universe, unseen because its dimensions contain the ‘imaginary’ term ‘i’
Standing Wave universe.
If we can imagine two universes existing at the same time, separated by an all pervading veil, one could see a world with positive dimensions where the time goes in one direction and a coexisting world in which the dimensions are negative or ‘imaginary’ and time is a negative or ‘imaginary’ dimension.
Can the universe undergo a dimension reversal in the same way as the globe undergoes magnetic reversal.
What this universe time line might look like is a standing wave.
At sometime in the past has the world, as we know it, oscillated between a real (ie above the line) existence or a negative or imaginary existence? This would explain why there are no fossils found for some part of human development. It may have occurred when dimensions were below the line.

THE VEIL OF REALITY
As I have suggested earlier, the veil is not a tangible device but an all pervading barrier separating the real world in which we experience life. The question I would like to ask is, can the veil be breached; can we cross over?
In the parallel universe, time may travel in another direction which may, in a sense, be negative, although it wouldn’t seem so. The physics may be different giving rise to different properties for matter or whatever substances lie there. Of course, it may be a universe where everything exists solely as electromagnetic effects with no solids as we understand them.
The passing through this veil may be something achievable by “quantum tunnelling” or a process currently unknown.
Black Holes? May be dark matter or energy.

BIG BANG?
Creation may not have been a ‘big bang’, but a tiny quantum fluctuation that grew from nothing. Instead of cancelling as usual, the ‘spark’ created a knock on effect converting the neighbouring nothing into two parts, the part we live in and the parallel world described by negative and complex dimensions. The by product of this reaction is a small amount of observable energy at the point of universe creation, measured today as the Cosmic Background Radiation. The universe, according to this scenario, will continue to grow for ever. As the universe expands, so more time is ‘created’ and we, humans, experience this creation as the passing of time.
This hypothesis is in the process of being established. If you want to join the debate contact me at kevilldavies@yahoo.com

Apsaras II. The 6th Ring. Synopsis

The 6th Ring
A NOVEL BY KEVILL DAVIES

The second story in a trilogy featuring Jack Benson

SYNOPSIS

A year later, Jack has been re-evaluating his life with American doctor, Peaches Langer and now, whilst “Shangri La” is being rebuilt, he is sailing his luxury motor yacht in the Komodo National Park. They have been joined by the Apsarases, the two twin Thai sisters Jack had saved from a life of prostitution and who later had not only befriended him but had become his lovers and self styled “brides”.

One night, during their trip, they witnessed a curious event when a strange craft disembarked some shadowy figures onto a remote island. They later hear gunfire and the following day discover that every member of a small island community except a small baby has been brutally massacred.

The strange craft, a prototype built by a Middle Eastern country, is linked to a kidnapping thousands of miles away in Hawaii prompting Jack and the Apsarases to investigate.

Two more ships are built to the same innovative design and armed with nuclear weapons are destined to destroy major targets in the United States and Britain.
Can the Armed Forces overcome the threat? The answer lies, in some part, with the little girl Jack and the girls rescued from the island massacre.

Following Jack’s public outburst asserting that there could be no compassionate and loving God brought him to the attention of both the religious community and the media and led to him receiving invitations to air his thoughts on television talk shows. Whilst on a show for CNN, Jack meets Bella, the widow of a murdered US diplomat who served in her own country of Haiti. The meeting quickly becomes romantic as the two are immediately attracted, a liaison that is encouraged when Bella appeals to the “spirits” of her voodoo faith.
At the same time, a Chinese man calls at the British Embassy in Bangkok, with an offer for Jack. Two clay tablets in strange script have been uncovered in a Burmese temple and the monks want to sell them. What secrets do they hold? Jack is tempted and buys them, sending details of the text to the British Museum for interpretation.

The findings lead him and his elder son Tim to believe that the wording of the Bible as first written down, were not faithful to the true message, leading to a misunderstanding of the relevance of man’s spiritual side.
His conclusions, which reinforce his own convictions, shock the religious communities around the world, particularly those with a strong Abrahamic tradition.

The terrorists of southern Thailand are upset that the Englishman is once again interfering in their affairs. Spotted nearby in his motor cruiser when their new and strange ship is blown up by an American SEAL team, they suspect collusion and use the controversy over his religious outpourings to provide a smokescreen for his murder.

As controversy rages around him, Jack finds himself embroiled in another sensitive matter as he discovers fraud and murder in Bella’s own island of Haiti, a discovery that takes him to Florida where he uncovers a ring active in the importation of pornographic material and Haitian girls for the sex trade.

In a story of good versus evil, Jack is facing problems in both his public and private lives as he tries to reconcile the needs of others and be true to his own feelings.

Can Jack save his own life and keep the refuge safe for all its inhabitants? Can the authorities, using information from Jack, act in time to save the world?

In a dramatic conclusion, the story tells how all these issues are resolved but with a final twist, leaving the reader to ponder the true importance of the spirit world

Henry Bagshot Synopsis

Henry Bagshot
Or
The Saigh Valley Affair

SYNOPSIS

The story, set in the late eighties, traces how childhood sweethearts marry for convenience, seperate for necessity and follow spectacularly different paths to find happiness in the beautiful Saigh Valley.

Henry Bagshot lives for his sport, particularly football. As a Manchester City supporter for as long as he can remember he is used to disappointments, but none more so than when his attractive girl friend, later to be his wife, Jackie, has plans to make them some money; firstly, at university, hiring him out as a male escort and then persuading him to become a publican. The machinations of his resourceful partner result in their becoming tenants of a small traditional thatched inn in a pretty Saigh Valley village where their impact is immediate as he instigates various functions, such as the boat trip and pumpkin show. However her eclectic tastes and ambition lead her to diversify her interests and when the brewery announces the closure of their pub, she is quick to seize a business opportunity.
They move a few miles down the road and take over a town pub where the clientele present new challenges.

It is not long before Jackie, now running a high class brothel, is lured into the world of high society, finds herself struggling to maintain a relationship with her more mundane husband and leaves him after being exposed on television on Gold Cup day at Royal Ascot.
However, Jackie discovers that sometimes wealth is not always all it seems and she becomes enmeshed in a world of arms and people smuggling, kidnap and pornography.
The problems start when her brothel is used by a ruthless businessman, Martin Dwyer, acting on behalf of a motor manufacturing consortium, to kidnap the Minister of Transport and take compromising photographs in a bid to get him to change policies. The police investigation leads to her and her business associate Arthur Dennison, a man of dubious background and even more dubious sexual proclivities.
This places Jackie in an awkward situation and she becomes a threat, not only to Dwyer but to another of his associates, an Arab Prince, who after inviting Jackie to Royal Ascot, badly mistreats her.
She decides to follow a route of revenge and retribution, a course of action so fraught with danger her life is soon imperilled. She hatches two plans; the first involves the Princes prize winning thoroughbred, entered for the Goodwood Cup. When this plan fails she turns to the second and the dreaded scorpions.

When the Prince realises the danger to his own schemes he has to take action. Aided and abetted by a senior Scotland Yard policeman who ‘advises’ the Prince, Dwyer is ordered to murder Jackie before she can testify against them. In a tense race against time, Henry and the local chief of police, Chief Inspector, Ben Tooley finally come to her rescue and set up the denouement.

After he and his wife seperate, Henry is comforted by an old acquaintence, Tara, a young prostitute he met at university and one of his wife’s current girls. Slowly, she restores his vitality and self confidence and when she offers to look after Henry’s bookkeeping, previously the province of his self serving wife, quickly returns the business to profit and a smile to his heart.

Meanwhile, Jackie, following her experience with the Prince re-evaluates her life, leading to a happy renaissance and a chance to start afresh with her new lover, the Master of Foxhounds.

APSARAS
or
“The man who wanted to be the King of Siam”

A Novel by Kevill Davies

SYNOPSIS

A love story set in the Land of Smiles, Thailand.
The King and I revisited.

What’s in a time?
At three am on Boxing Day, 2004 a woman dies in London. At exactly the same time, six thousand miles away in Thailand a man dies at ten o’clock, local time. Two years later the bereaved meet by chance and their lives are changed for ever.

Jack Benson, a retired banker of 45 has toured the world for the two years since his wife unexpectedly died, visiting his substantial property investments, escaping from his memories and seeking the means to fulfilment in life.
In Bangkok to discuss the development of a Macao style gambling resort in southern Thailand he unexpectedly becomes embroiled in the seedy world of the Thai sex industry as he saves twin sisters from their evil uncle.
Ignoring his first instincts to abandon them and conscious of the hand of destiny, he finds himself intrigued and excited to immerse himself in their life and culture, rekindling not only his zest for life but love as well.

The quick moving story starts with the tragedy of the South Asian tsunami, of 2003, and is played out in the beautiful country of Thailand against a background of growing insurrection in the south.

Following a trip to Cambodia, Jack is humbled on hearing of the works of a Swiss doctor and decides to devote his life to helping disadvantaged woman including the twins, who he discovers are not only intelligent but also caring and kind. With the help of Peaches Langer, an American immunologist, he establishes a refuge near the town of Trang, where he is soon involved in transforming lives in both a practical and emotional way.
The refuge, called “Shangri La” after the hotel where Jack met the twins, is busy from the outset and the increasing numbers of “guests” requires that he adopts a more structured daily regime, involving, principally, health, fitness and education.
The story traces how the refuge grows and how he copes with the mental conflicts caused when many of the women he helps, fall in love with him and he finds himself increasingly unable to resist reciprocating their affection. He begins to compare himself with the legendary “King of Siam” and his harem.

When a Muslim girl arrives seeking refuge from a forced marriage to a terrorist leader, Jack and ‘Shangri La’ are forced to the forefront of the escalating unrest in the region. Faced with the decision of abandoning her and saving the home or helping her, Jack has no doubts and as his personal love life becomes ever more complicated the beat of the story rises as ‘Shangri La’ becomes the focus of the world and the story reaches its climax on an Easter Sunday.
